We process spectral data—measurements of how asteroids reflect light at different wavelengths—to determine their composition. Our machine learning pipeline classifies asteroids into taxonomic types (M-type for metallic, C-type for carbonaceous, etc.) and estimates resource abundances including platinum-group metals, water ice, and organic compounds.
Our catalog indexes over 43,600 asteroids, including 1,300+ with high-quality spectral observations from the SMASS II (Small Main-Belt Asteroid Spectroscopic Survey) and historical literature. Over 41,000 near-Earth asteroids are scored for accessibility and mining potential using our proprietary target scoring algorithm. As we expand, we'll integrate additional public datasets and commission proprietary observations of high-value targets.
